CURATING GENIUS

Anya Booker holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley; an MFA from the American Film Institute; and an MFA in Creative Writing with a dual concentration in Fiction and Creative Nonfiction from Antioch University. As a filmmaker, playwright, and author, she has several films, musicals and books in development, and recently became a member of the Robey Theater Playwrights Lab.

Anya Booker is a visionary storyteller, higher education administater, and professor who centers and advances the arts in her role as Associate Dean and Executive Director for the School of Arts and Architecture at The University of California, Los Angeles.

Booker brings an in-depth capacity to expand and drive university planning, strategic vision, program and curriculum design that addresses and redresses educational and innovative imperatives that forward thinking requires.

As a creative and educational consultant, Booker has worked to illuminate transformative experiences by fortifying her love of narrative and the arts, collaborating with academia, K-12, non-profit, and startups.  Her life’s work…fellow educators, creatives, and the people and organizations who collaborate with them.
